Validation, SAS, and the Systems Development Life Cycle: An Oxymoron?
نویسنده
چکیده
The elements of the validation process, the features and tools of SAS software, and the structure of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) are indeed compatible. This paper will address: the definitions of verification, validation, testing, and debugging, as well as the structure of the SDLC. It will illustrate how the SAS system can be used to help satisfy the requirements of your SDLC and accomplish the tasks of verification and validation. Since as much as 80% of a programmer’s time is invested in testing and validation, it’s important to focus on tools that facilitate correction of syntax, data, and logic errors in SAS programs. The presentation focuses on wide variety of SAS features, tips, techniques, tricks, and system tools that can become part of your routine testing methodology.

Abstract Today, due to the rapid growth of population, development of the construction industry is a necessity. All around the world, new subjects such as sustainable development, environmental pollution, conservation of resources, and reduction of CO2 emission have become the most important research topics among the scientific societies. In recent years, especially after 1997, new tools were i...

Abstract: At the last decade of the 20th century, Womack et. Al introduced Lean concept to the industrial world. Since 1990 up to now, existed studies mostly have focused on lean production in the step of manufacturing, but in this research leanness concept has developed in the plant life cycle. In this paper leanness concept will be described as elimination of wastes in the phases of investmen...

Transportation is an important part of modern community life as well as one of the largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions in urban communities, the population growth of which can increase transportation capacity. Monorail systems are relatively new rail transportation systems which are currently being designed and constructed in different countries. We have applied the Intergovernmental Pa...
متن کاملSUGI 28: Beyond Debugging: Program Validation
"Act in haste and repent at leisure; code too soon, and debug forever." Raymond Kennington In their paper on debugging, Lora Delwiche and Susan Slaughter say that good debuggers make good programmers. Let's take that one step further to say that good analysts and problem-solvers make good programmers. Just because a SAS® program is free of errors, warnings, notes, and bugs does not guarantee th...
